Description

Laminated children's drawing consisting of a piece of beige legal paper mounted on a piece of blue construction paper. There is a rectangular piece of white paper on the back carrying the inscription "The soldiers came and killed our families in El Salvador". On the front, an inscription in orange and green crayon reads "martes 1 Febroro de 1983" at the top of the page. To the lower left of this inscription is another in blue ink which reads "Marina Otero 4 - anos". Across from this inscription is a large drawing of a green flower. Below this is a scene containing an orange and yellow church with a pink cross and two doorways. There is a human figure in each doorway, and a large yellow flower on each side of the church. A beige helicopter and beige female figure have been drawn on the right side of the church. A purple path leads away to the lower left of the church, and there is a purple human figure lying in the middle of the path. The bottom third of the drawing contains a plane, a large flowering plant, a female figure, and a rectangle with two vegetables inside of it. A narrow strip of word-processed text has been taped to the front, at the bottom of the page, and it reads the same as the inscription on the back "The soldiers came and killed our families in El Salvador".
