Drawing Item Number: 2811/94 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Children's drawing on legal size off-white paper. The page has been divided diagonally by an undulating green band that crosses from the upper right corner to the lower left corner. This band likely represents a river, and there are five human stick figures floating in the water. Above the river, in the upper left corner, an inscription in pencil reads "¿Como era la vida en El Salvador?" Below this inscription is a single green tree, and a helicopter shooting at a small human figure. Below the helicopter, three human figures stand on the edge of the river, and one of them is connected to a green line that spans the river. The upper right of the composition contains a house with a human figure beside it, and a second helicopter that is positioned on the edge of the river. Four human figures have been drawn below the river. Two of these figures are shooting guns at the other figures.
