Bag Item Number: 2813/69 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

A multi-coloured, tightly woven basket bag with four braided straps. The base colour of the bag is the dark yellow-white of the undyed cabuya fibre. Nine zigzagging vertical columns composed of short, multi-coloured, horizontal stripes decorate the bag. The dyed areas on the sides of the bag appear slightly faded. The base of the bag contains a circular stripe of green, light orange, pink, and black. Three of the straps are noticeably faded, while one of the straps appears to be new. The newer strap is composed of undyed cabuya strands, orange cabuya strands, and grey cabuya strands.
