Description

Poro society face mask, unpainted. The carved wooden mask has a prominent forehead, with three small bent metal pieces inserted into the centre. Holes have been carved through the wood to make eyes and a mouth, with lips and eye areas protruding. The nose also protrudes. Many small rectangular holes have been carved around the outside edge of the mask. The back of the mask is concave.
