Description

A mask with vertical protusions carved into the mask at the top. The face is long and narrow with a pointed chin and prominent lips that are open to display large, square, carved teeth. The nose is long and thin, the eyes are slightly angled holes, and small triangular ears protrude. The face is patterned with small carved knobs along the cheeks, across the forehead, near the mouth and nose, and between the eyes. Hair is suggested by a diamond pattern carved into the wood at the forehead, and the head is topped with an elaborate headdress, with carved tines and a decorated half-circle plaque above. The back of the mask is concave.
