Set of ten postcards, each postcard illustrating the successive stages of making paper: (a) a scene of papermaking village (b) cutting down zozo shoots in winter (c) steaming bundles of zozo shoots (d) removing black bark from steamed shoots (e) bleaching white bark in sun by watering (f) boiling white bark with lye to soften (g) removing dirt and green parts from bleached bark (h) beating wet zozo into pulp (i) traditional method of papermaking (j) drying sheets of paper by exposing to the sun. All ten postcards are housed in a white envelope (k) with black characters and lines printed on one side and characters, a black and white image of a person bent over a large rectangular trough with a tray, and the inscription "Picture post-cards of Hand-made Paper-making Process" on the other side.
