History Of Use

Shawls, or the fabric for making them, are imported from India or elsewhere in Asia and are purchased at the store. Photographs show them worn tied around the neck with the fringe showing at the shoulders and down the back, or draped loosely over the head under the hat or cap, or draped over the hat and tied under the chin.
