Description

Three female figures standing around a container on a disc-shaped platform and pounding corn. The figures all have elongated, ovoid-shaped heads with a red mark at the back, and each is wearing a sarong. One figure is wearing a sarong dotted with rectangular burn marks (a), another figure is wearing a sarong with vertical stripes (b) and the last figure is wearing a sarong with rectangular burn marks and a horizontal band (c). The container (d) is decorated with a zigzag line around the centre and two wide bands of dark brown at the top and bottom. Figure b is also holding a stick-like implement. Each figure has cylindrical protrusion at the bottom of their feet, as does the bottom of the container, and these protrusions fit into a hole in the base. The base is decorated with four triangles at the edge and one hole has been plugged. The designs have been burnt into the surface.
