Description

Spear with iron spearhead that has curved bottom edges, straight sides, a pointed tip, a centre ridge, and a short shaft. The long wooden shaft is cylindrical overall with a conical end. The spearhead has been lashed to the wood with leather ?, and the shaft has been wrapped with a leather strip just before the conical end.

Narrative

The sword was obtained from Swaziland when the donor's father was farming in an area to the north of Natal and in the Trasvaal territory near the borders of Swaziland.
