Description

Water pipe with two metal cylinder that have incised geometric design on lower portions. Attached to one of the cylinders is a short metal tube and a long metal tube. The longer of the two extends upwards and curves slightly at the end. A brown and black fibre tassel is attached to the end and hangs down when object is displayed upright.

History Of Use

Smoking tobacco or opium.

Narrative

Said to have been collected in Shan, but does not appear to be of Burmese origin. Noted in the past as having a "typical Chinese design'?
