Description
Bilaterally symmetrical Northwest Coast style image of a bear in black, red, blue and brown; paper with image drawn on it is glued to a larger piece of paper. Ink inscription near the upper right corner of the larger paper reads: "Tsimshian House front Painting representing the Bear."
Narrative
Created by a student at the Alberni Residential School in the late 1930s. The school was located near the Tseshaht reserve, Tsahaheh 1, about 4 kilometres north of Port Alberni.
