Mask of dark-skinned bald man with long curling dark brown beard and red lips. Both sides of the head have the design of a crocodile etched in. Forehead has four protruding circular designs. Inscription carved into wood inside back of mask.
Inscription inside mask reads: "DANZA DEL MARQUEZ DE XITLALA GRO. DANZADA EL 5 DE MAYO."

The style of this type of mask would have been influenced by pictures of classical Greek sculpture in books or magazines, even though the males are actually meant to represent Spaniards.
