Man’s flat pillbox style hat or cap made from soft, brushed, light gray wool textile. The circular crown is sewn to a turned-up cuff, which forms the sides of the hat. The crown is lined with brown silk or rayon satin textile.

Hats like this one are common in the Pakistan-Afghanistan region. Variations in style and colour differentiate one locality from another. This hat originated in an area of Northern Pakistan that is adjacent to Afghanistan and Tajikistan, an area with a complex mix of ethnic groups.
