Rod Puppet Item Number: B824 a-c from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

A three-dimensional wood puppet of a monkey-like figure. The face is painted bright pink with red eyes, and a red mouth. Wearing a simple red, green, white, and black headdress. The body is painted gold. Wearing a skirt that is cream-coloured around the upper part, and red around the bottom part. The arms are riveted at the joints with string, and have a wood marionnette stick. There is a spear-shaped wood handle (part c), which inserts through the body (part b) to attach the head (part a).
