Hanging Item Number: 397/2 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

A long rectangular fabric piece that has openings through to both ends. The main design, on one side that is off-white-light yellow-brown, is consisting of an alternating pale blue lobed oval (four of these), and pink circle (three of these) pattern, each of which is bordered by gold-coloured thread with a gold-coloured thread design within (the pale blue lobed ovals have the same design while the pink circles have another one), and separated by a gold-coloured thread floral pattern. Above the central pink circle, there is another pale blue lobed oval with a different gold-coloured thread design within. At either side of this pale blue lobed oval, there is a pair of gold-coloured thread cresent shapes that have an eight-petalled-flower-like shape within. In between this row, and the main pattern of pale blue lobed ovals, and pink circles, there is a row that has an alternating pattern of gold-coloured thread flowers, and another design. The lower portion of the piece is bordered by a gold-coloured thread floral pattern. There are six loops along the top. The other side is dark purple.
