Jar Item Number: 2875/32 a-b from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Large round jar with flared rim and thick horizontal incised banding. Exterior has light green glaze with brown spots, and interior is glazed red. Rim of mouth is unglazed; foot is slightly raised and unglazed. Base has circular pattern and is signed by artist with makers mark(?). Domed lid (part b) with central, hollowed knob. Rim is raised and unglazed. Underside of lid has red glaze and a circular pattern.

Collection of pottery originally belonging to Olea Davis, and later given to the Potters Guild by her son.
