Iconographic Meaning

This print documents the struggle of the Innu people: the low level military test flights and the social problems of the remote community of Davis Inlet. Featured in the center image are four young and innocent children at Davis Inlet. The military jets represent the low level flying, the caribou symbolize the threatened wildlife and the traditional lifestyle of the Innu people. The scales of justice speak for themselves.
