Description

Seal mask with a rounded head and black rubberized cotton head covering attached with nails at the top, back and underside of the mask. The mask is painted black with white lines delineating the eyebrows and eye sockets, grey around the eyes, red nostrils and lips, as well as red and blue design elements beside the corners of the mouth.

Represents seal: migwad, part of a legend from Knight Inlet: dzawadi (C. George, 1966).
