Male puppet in standing position and dressed in traditional stage costumes. Puppet is holding knives and wearing a black and red headdress with a multicoloured band, and a long green tunic with a red sash at the waist. It has a Y-shaped bamboo control rod that is attached to its wrists and head by white string.

This tiny string puppet (傀儡 kui lei) would have been made as a toy for children, likely in the late 19th-early 20th century.
