Description
Short broom made from a bundle of strips of leaves bound at the top with twined string; binding in colours forms stripes of green and magenta; palm leaves of the broom are woven through the string to form diamond shape. Loop handle attached to binding.
Cultural Context
the household broom has another use in witchcraft as the contact agent through which a sorcerer can cast his spells on a person of that household.
