Description

Anklet with an overall c-shape and bosses on the outer edge. Three arch-shaped loops on the top at the sides and front centre, and there is a border of twisted metal along the edges of the top surface.

Nuptual gift - usually given by the groom at the time of marriage. Worn around the ankle of newly married female. Patterns vary according to the social rank of the giver.

Specific Techniques

Cast by cire-perdue method. The inner edge is decorated with textures achieved by twisting the wax filets before casting.
