Description

Woman seated on a stool. Senufo style coiffure. Stained black. She has large, closed eyes, a nose, and a mouth with pointed lips. A pair of grooved lines runs down across each breast. A pair of dashed grooved lines runs down the midle of her body to the navel. Her hands rest on each respective knee. The stool has two back legs while the woman's feet at the front provide the rest of the support.

Cultural Context

Benevolent, protective role. Also a divination role, as women have a control over the malevolent ghosts through the all-female Sandogo Society.
