Description

Black robe with wide sleeves, centre opening with frog closures and rounded neck. On the front and back are moth, lotus, chrysanthemum, peony and swastika motifs in blue and white on a black ground. The collar and border bands have moth, lotus and leaf motifs in blue on a cream ground. The sleeve border has two bands on a cream ground; one floral in red, blue and green and the other with figures in various scenes with animals in blue, green, purple and yellow. The inside lining is blue damask containing a woven diamond pattern.
