Description

Man’s off-white, long, silk shirt with round neck and long set-in sleeves, embellished with a panel of fine white-on-white embroidery (including some open work) in the front chest area, from the neckline to the waist. A placket opening on the right shoulder is closed with two metal snaps. Sleeves are straight with a simple hem at the wrists. Narrow yoke at the back shoulder area. A small pocket is located in the right side seam. There is a tuck at the waist. The hemline is curved, with small side slits.

This type of shirt is known as a "wedding shirt" in Afghanistan.
