Woman's black velvet tubular-shaped evening bag with drawstring closing. Bottom stiffened with heavy paper(?). Trimmed with a decorative braid worked in metallic gold thread, sequins and glass beads on animal skin(?). Nine brass rings on inside near top to accommodate a gold-coloured twisted cord drawstring.
Costumes like this one are still worn for weddings, funerals and church festivals.
This bag was made by the donor, using hand-made braid. The donor wore it as part of a costume that she acquired from a friend named Kellner.
