Description
Miniature, cylindrical swamp grass basket (a) with a fitted lid (b). Bottom rim of basket and side of lid have a purple/green/purple band. Side of basket has discrete designs in purple. Lid: staggered shapes in purple. Base: plaited origin and plain twined (over several warp strands). Sides: twisted twined work. Indented flange on basket holds lid in place.

Mr. Payne was the collector of the objects donated by Mr. Thom.
