Description

Bent nail protruding from a large tooth; length of twined string attached to end of the tooth.

History Of Use

Fish hook, jiggled up and down to snag fish. Also used for bringing seal to the surface that have been killed and sunk in shallow water.

Collected by Glyndwr Abraham while working as an R.C.M.P. officer between July 1929 and July 1959.
