Description

Light wood spatula. One end is oval shaped and the other end is a long thin handle. There are two dark lines burnt into the top of the handle and three arrow head-like designs in a row divided by two sets of dots. Arrow head-like designs are connected by a vertical line.

Wooden spatula (akoumé-dati) of Islamic origin used by women to prepare a traditional dough (akoumé, banku, or tô), made from cassava, maize, sorghum, and millet.
