Description
Slender wood spear shaft, tapered at both ends with one end slightly thinner than the other.
History Of Use
This would have been the shaft of a spear with the tail fitting onto one end and the head fitting onto the other, similar to 1157/6 a-b and 1157/7 a-b.
Narrative
Based upon the greater length of this item, the two ends of the spear would likely have been shorter than those in similar objects 1157/6 a-b and 1157/7 a-b.
