Description

Cylindrical shaped bell that is cut-out on each side. A long tubular ringer is attached to a ring. The ring is attached to an arched piece that connects the two cut-out sides of the bell.

History Of Use

Cow bell used to track and/or lead free-roaming cattle during the mobile season. Amongst the Ganda, or Boganda people, cattle serves as a form of dowry and are owned and exchanged to achieve authority, status, and influence in society.
