The barrels are mainly a light green stone with black highlights and are attached to the base; the gun is mainly black and dark mottled green-grey stone, with a light green butt end and very small inlays of an ivory coloured material (bone?). The gun leans on the barrels and has a small round attachment on the base to hold the butt end in place. The carving is signed and dated by artist on underside of the base.
