Description

Wooden staff used by Corpus Christi dancers. The Corpus Christi festival celebrates the Eucharist as the body of Christ. The handle of the staff has a square profile with rounded edges. At the top end of the staff, the handle attaches to a star with 14 points. In the centre of the star, there is a round piece of mirror encased in a thin metal frame. One nail is visible in the metal frame. At the very top of the star, there is a small cross protruding from the back of the star. It is missing one of its horizontal transepts. It is affixed to the back of the cross with a metal nail.
