Description
Hanging tapestry. On a black background are embroidered scenes from the monkey king epic that include (from the top) people fighting with weapons, a monkey balancing on a stick, a group with dragons and humans- some of whom are carrying hangings, and an animal figure. Trees, foliage, rock and water features are seen throughout, and a pagoda sits at top. This panel is attached to a densely patterned framing cloth and the rear of the object is pink cotton.
