Description

Clay spindle whorl that is round and squat with a hole bored through the centre from top to bottom. The upper portion of the object has incised designs including a ring encircling the hole at top and a series of vertical lines around the body. The lower portion shows faint evidence of linear decoration as well.

History Of Use

Used to maintain inertia while spinning fibre.
