Description

Trileg terracotta dish with animal feet. Dish is shallow with a wide mouth, narrowing to a slightly narrower base. The interior sides of the dish are painted with patterns of brown lines and orange colour blocks, while the bottom has a single orange circle painted in the centre. The outside body is similarly decorated with colour blocks, lines, and dots in orange and brown. The base of the pot is flat and undecorated. The three feet take the shape of animal heads with the chin resting on the floor. Each head is triangular in shape with painted eyes and a long snout with a round nose and painted mouth. Two small holes pierce each head on the sides and when the dish is moved, a slight muffled jingle can be heard emanating from each foot.
