Description

Club with long handle and end in the shape of the head of a Sisiutl. Tongue of Sisiutl protrudes from mouth. Top curl on head. Painted detail in the colours red, green, and black. Light grey-brown fibre cording is wrapped and knotted half way up the handle.

History Of Use

This may be a club used in a 'mitla dance (see Boas, 1895, pg. 484, pl. 38. Fig. 149, pg. 501).
