Musicians Item Number: 2916/1 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Stylized metal sculpture of two musicians made from recycled metals welded together. Both figures hold musical instruments. The kneeling figure plays a guitar-like instrument while the standing figure holds a saxophone to his open mouth. Both heads have simple, rounded facial features and tall wiry hair standing up. The two figures have elongated, thin, white legs and a partially open tubular torso formed from a curved sheet of metal. Their backs are white and fade to a grey-black near the curled edges of the stomach. The concave portions of the torsos are largely silver. Each figure has one thick, white tubular arm and one grey wire one. Additionally, each has one hand with elongated wire-like fingers.
