Description
Shepherd’s horn for wine; brown goat horn with round metal piece at pointed end and leather band at rim with dark gold-toned studs. Twisted leather thong strung to a metal chain. A small wooden plug attached with leather thong at rim. Deep carved cross lines on surface. Small pieces of tape on surface.
History Of Use
Shepherd's horn for wine. Shepherds in the province decorated and carved horns (also see 2956/254-258) to make containers for food and wine.
