Description

Earthenware pot, terracotta in colour. There is a groove in the wall approximately 11 cm up from the base of the pot. Within this groove is a line that protrudes out slightly .

Narrative

This is yogurt pot was made in Tikarapada Village by traditional potters using a throw wheel and then anvil and paddle. Yogurt pots like this one are suspended from knotted rope hangers called "sika".
