Comb Item Number: 2878/37 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Small rectangular comb made of several small, thin pieces of light brown wood, each tapered to a point at one end, set closely together in a reddish-brown clay-like material that has shiny surface and geometric design incised on the surface. The clay-like material forms a sort of handle for the comb, and is pointed at the corners of its outer edge. The incised pattern consists of three triangles with a circle at each point, beneath which there are four horizontal lines of dots, and is the same on both sides of the handle.
