Description

Drawing on horizontal rectangular sheet of ivory paper of dogs/wolves and people. In the centre of the image are two human figures. The upper man is wearing a white parka and faces forward. The lower figure is wearing a brown parka and has two faces, facing away from each other. To the left of the upper figure is a person holding a raised spear in his left hand and being attacked from behind by a dog biting the back of his hood. Below is another dog attacking the hand of the centre figure. Another dog is below attacking the hand of the figure with the brown parka. Below is another dog biting his foot. To the right of the centre figure is a person in a white parka with his body stretched out. Below him is a dog biting the hand of the man in the centre. Below this is a dog attacking the dog above. Below is a muskox facing the man in the brown parka and below is a dog attacking the foot of the man in the brown parka. The people and animals are set in a multi-coloured landscape that extends to the edges of the paper. Pencil inscription on reverse includes artist name and "PL-17-88"
