Description
Drawing on horizontal rectangular sheet of ivory paper of a traditional burial scene. A dead man lies on the tundra surrounded by rocks. This is a traditional form of burial. Grieving at the tomb are his wife and child. In the background is a tent and a kayak on a kayak rest. The sun, an orange colour, is setting in the sky. Cape Dorset Coop embossed stamp in lower right corner. Pencil inscription on reverse includes "94/95".
