Necklace Item Number: 2948/90 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Closed necklace with numerous teeth-pendants. The teeth are secured by a woven grey-brown string, possibly made from plant fibre. The long brown, yellow, and white canine teeth are held in place by the string at their pointed ends. The teeth are arranged tightly side by side, with the shortest teeth at the ends of the row and longest teeth in the middle. A knot closes the necklace on the left side on top of the last small tooth.
