Description

Green, black, red and white mask with a rounded, hooked nose. Three separate protruding vertical panels attached along the forehead (third panel missing). Abalone shell piece dangles from the mouth. Colours used are black, red, white and green.

Dance mask.

Iconographic Meaning

Thought to represent a bird. The beak is hooked and curves inward, and the panels on the top of the head could represent feathers.
