History Of Use

Water container. Shepherds in the province used cork cantinas and boxes (also see 2956/248-249) to keep their food and water cool and fresh. At the same time they decorated and carved horns (see 2956/254-258) to make containers, and in similar style, wooden religious images (see 2955/45).
