Description

Rectangular basket. Base is concave, foot flaring slightly. Body is straight sided with rounded corners and flares widely toward mouth. The weave is tight and small. Long sides are decorated by imbricated diamond shapes flanked by vertical lines, while short sides each have a large open diamond with a small central cross.

From the collection of the missionary Thomas Crosby, who worked in various places on the Northwest Coast of B.C. from 1863 to 1907.
