Image is of a crouching male, facing right, wearing a large coloured headdress as well as leg, wrist, arm and waist bands, and holding a flute in both hands in front of his upper body. The background is in three shades of blue. Signed in lower right corner: "P.JAKUPA.JNR 2008-2012".

Iconographic Meaning

According to the artist: "The man in this painting is playing a Sursab, a traditional flute. In the past it was used to arrange a meeting with a woman, you would play the flute and she would know to meet you at a certain place."
