Description

Woolen sash constructed of three parts. The centre portion is a long panel of woven wool, the warp white, weft black, creating a small diamond pattern. At each end the warp becomes a thinner multi-strand plait, fastened at ends with a piece of black wool. Braid culminates in a loose tassel.

Presented to, and worn by, Rowley as a witness at the opening exhibition of the Musqueam Cultural Centre ("Baskets for Barter").
