Description

Square lantern slide made of two pieces of glass, one with the image printed on it, the other clear, held together by a ‘frame’ of black paper tape. The printed and coloured circular image shows a scene of a woman hanging white laundry with a basket beside her. There's a shotgun hole blown through one piece of laundry, so with a stick she is chasing away a man in purple holding a shotgun, top hat falling from his head. The background scene is a grassy river shore. Label: "W.C. Hughes / Optician / 151 Hoxton St. N. London".
