Bow Item Number: 2948/137 a-b from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Wooden bow. The body of the bow has a carved circular bulge or platform at one end where the woven looped end-piece of the bow string rests. Attached to the bow limbs are two small circular rings of woven fibres set slightly in from the ends, which are carved into points. The bowstring has only one woven loop, and the other end of the bowstring is misshapen and bends upwards to a broken point where the other loop would have existed.
